Green For Life (GFL), provides Piney Point Village’s garbage and recycling collection service.  The City and GFL are committed to providing excellent sanitation services. For Regular Trash, Heavy Trash, and Recycle Guidelines, please click here.

GARBAGE
Garbage is collected twice per week.  Half of the City is picked up on Monday and Thursday. The other half is picked up on Tuesday and Friday. Pickup is “back door service.” Please make sure the garbage is not behind locked gates.  Service begins at 7 a.m. and is usually completed by mid-afternoon, but please leave your garbage there until the end of the day if it still hasn't been collected. Sometimes the timing of their arrival changes.

Click Here to see the Garbage Pickup Maps. The blue colored areas are neighborhoods that will be serviced by smaller trucks on Mondays and Thursday and the gold colored areas will be serviced on Mondays and Tuesdays with larger recycling vehicles. The green colored areas are neighborhoods that will be serviced by smaller trucks on Tuesdays and Fridays and the purple colored areas will be serviced on Tuesdays and Fridays with larger recycling vehicles.

HOLIDAY GARBAGE PICK UP SCHEDULE
There is no trash service on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Unless otherwise noted, service that falls on any of those holidays will be completed the following day.

BULK WASTE
Bulk waste is defined as stove, refrigerators, water tanks, washing machines, furniture, mattresses, wood doors, fence boards, televisions, lightweight bath tubs and appliances.  Appliances containing refrigerants must have a tag attached to it certifying that a qualified technician has removed the refrigerant.  Bulky waste must be broken down and dissembled when possible. Bulk waste will be picked up on your 2nd pickup day of the week from the curbside.

RECYCLING

Piney Point Village is an exceptional place to live and we want to do our part to help the environment. The City is working towards 100% participation in the recycling program. Recycling is also provided as a “back door” service every Wednesday.   If your service falls on one of the observed holidays, you will be serviced on the next scheduled service day.
