NOTE: Candidate Withdrawal Deadline is Friday, February 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. After the withdrawal deadline, the City will determine whether any offices are unopposed in accordance with Chapter 2 of the Texas Election Code. The actual ballot order will be determined by drawing in accordance with the Texas Election Code. Notice of the drawing will be posted separately.
2025 CITY ELECTION
There is no General Election for council positions selected for May 2025 as they were unopposed. ORD 2025.03-A1
Councilmember/Alderman Positions 1, 2, and 5 are on the ballot for May 3, 2025. Each member serves a two-year term.
Interested candidates may file for an application for a place on the ballot with Robert Pennington or Michelle Yi, Early Voting Clerks, during regular office hours 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, from January 15 – February 14, 2025, by submitting the required forms at Piney Point Village City Hall at 7660 Woodway, Suite 460; Houston, Texas 77063. Note that this is a new location than in prior years. The deadline for candidates to file is 5:00 PM on February 14, 2025.
