Piney Point residents are invited to attend and support a community celebration and “Fun Run” hosted by students of Memorial High School on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
The event will begin at the MHS Field House with a 5K run and 1-mile walk starting at 8:00 a.m. Proceeds will raise awareness about mental health and support SBISD therapy scholarships through the Wellness Fund.
Please note that a rolling lane closure will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 9:00 a.m. at various points along the race route to ensure participant safety. The route includes portions of Gaylord, Piney Point, Beinhorn, and Hedwig Roads. Brief traffic delays may occur, and residents are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Following the race, a post-run celebration will include food trucks, family activities, a mechanical bull, a luxury raffle, and a western-wear costume contest for cowboys, cowgirls, and even canines. This is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages.
We appreciate the community’s support of our neighboring Memorial High School students and their efforts to promote mental health awareness.
